Kasouga is situated on the coast between Port Alfred and Kenton-on-Sea. There are two national airports nearby at Port Elizabeth and East London with some smaller landing strips in the surrounds for private aircraft. The major access road in the area is the R72 which travels from the N2 highway at Nanaga all the way to East London.
From Port Elizabeth
Travel eastward along the N2 towards Grahamstown. Once through the town of Colchester (on the Sundays river) you will reach a big intersection where the road splits off from the left and goes back over the bridge towards Grahamstown (N2) and continues straight towards Cookhouse and Cradock (N10). Go straight on under the bridge and take the first right towards Nanaga Farm Stall and Alexandria/Port Alfred (R72). Continue through Alexandria and Bushman’s/Kenton-on-Sea. Once over the bridge its the first turnoff to the right onto a dirt road.
Take the R67 out of town (over the N2 towards Port Alfred). You will reach a stop in Bathurst by the Pig & Whistle pub, take a left here. Continue on past the big pineapple until you reach Port Alfred. You will reach another stop which intersects the R 72. Turn right (westwards) here and go past the Marina and over the bridge and out of town. About 7km out of town the Kasouga turnoff is on the left.
From East London
Take the coastal road out of town (past the airport – R72). This road takes you all the way to Port Alfred (about 170km – 2 hrs) past the Fish River Sun Resort & Golf Course. Continue straight on through town past the Marina and over the bridge, etc. About 7km out of town the Kasouga turnoff is on the left.
Once on the Kasouga dirt road
Drive straight along with the dirt road until you pass through the first cattle grid (by the main farmhouse); a little bit further you will reach another cattle grid and a security gate. Please liaise with the home owner as to further directions.
